"Genocide at Our Doorstep: The Plight of Christians in the Modern Middle East:" Conference

The 21st century has seen a marked decline of Christian populations across the Middle East. Political crises, instability and a resurgence of extremism have caused some of the world's oldest Christian communities in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories to flee their ancestral homelands for safer shores, contributing to great numbers of political refugees across the world.
Our panel of distinguished guests from the field of politics, religion, academia and the media will talk about the various predicaments these communities face and how to best address their needs moving forward.

Members of our panel include:

- MK Ksenia Svetlova, Zionist Union

- Professor Yossi Shain, Chairman of the
School of Political Science, Government and International Affairs, Tel Aviv University

- Dr. Robert Stearns, Executive Director of Eagles' Wings

- David Nekrutman, Executive Director of the Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding & Cooperation

The conference is sponsored by Tel Aviv University's School of Political Science, Government and International Relations and the Frances Brody Institute for Appilied Diplomacy.

THE EVENT IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC and will be held in English in Tel Aviv University's Efter Auditorium (Naftali Building, School of Social Science).
