Excellence Fellowship Program

The Excellence Fellowship Program is academically led by Prof. Paul Romer f NYU, Nobel Prize Laureate and TAU Senior Professor by Special Appointment.

Fitting Tel Aviv University - the pulsating heart of the Startup Nation, we inaugurated a graduate school like no other, intended to train graduate students to lead and innovate a world that reinvents itself by the minute.
Students must be trained to implement what they find as needed. Innovation must be peer reviewed by the best scholars made available to the young researchers, while they implement it. Accordingly, students must learn to live in a high-risk reality where speed and genius must cohabitate to be relevant to both the public and private sector on the spot. To nurture a new generation of researchers and leaders, we initiated the IGS3 Excellence Fellowship Program, intended for the best and brightest students, to rise from fresh(wo)men to Ph.D. in 7 years. The program's first cohort started the excellence in October 2022.
The IGS3 Excellence Fellowship Program accepts up to 10 students per year, chosen from BA students on the Dean's list. Our unique inter-disciplinary program puts the emphasis on academic excellence, inter-disciplinary thinking and research, sustainability and the ability to lead social and academic policy. Combining these values into one comprehensive program will foster tomorrow’s top researchers and leaders, our society so desperately needs.
