About the School of Social and Policy Studies
The School of Social and Policy Studies was founded in 2016 to serve as a focal point for theoretical and applied research, as well as open and discussion of the social and policy issues of our time, in Israel and around the globe, through a comparative perspective. The school includes four independent department: communication, Sociology and Anthropology, Labor Studies and Public Policy. It also houses five different specialized program: The Evense program in Mediation and Conflict Resolution (MA taught in Hebrew and in English), The program for Leadership and Human Resources (BA), the program for Global Migration and Policy (MA program taught in English) and two executive programs in HR (MA) and in Public Policy (MA).
The vision behind the foundation of the school is to bring together deferent departments, theoretical and practical knowledge and training so as to put together a strategic foundation for the study of the Israeli and other societies around the globe. To understand human behavior within the environment it takes place through the environmental, policy, sociological, behavioral and communication mechanism and trends. Study the services, individual and collective rights, services and organizations that affect human behavior with an emphasis on environmental and social sustainability.
Students enrolled in all programs at the school, acquire theoretical knowledge of human behavior and social communities and organizations in their geopolitical and physical environment, and get practical tools to become leaders in private, public and third sector companies and organizations as well as in central and local government.
