Dr. Emmanuel Navon is a lecturer in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at Tel Aviv University. He was awarded the Faculty of Social Sciences Teaching Excellence Award in 2022.
His research focuses on international order, diplomacy, European foreign policy, Israel’s diplomacy, and the geopolitics of energy and security. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Review of International Studies and the Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs, and is the author of four books on international politics and Israeli foreign policy. His book The Star and the Scepter: A Diplomatic History of Israel (Jewish Publication Society / University of Nebraska Press, 2020) has been translated into Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, French, and Italian.
Dr. Navon is a Senior Fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS) and serves as Founder and CEO of the Euro-Med Middle East Council (EM2C), a Europe-focused policy institute dedicated to foreign policy and strategic research. He has also taught at Reichman University and at the IDF’s National Security College, and regularly contributes analysis on international affairs in academic and media forums.
