Hadas Mandel is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University. Her research focuses on cross-country variations in gender inequality and their relationship to class inequality and the role of the welfare state. Selected publications on this topic appeared in the American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Social Forces and The British Journal of Sociology. Her current research project deals with the role of gender in the determination of wage inequality between occupations. The empirical focus is on the relationship between occupational feminization and the occupational wage structure in the USA, from a longitudinal perspective.
