Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar is updated each year in October before the start of the new academic year. The calendar and course selections are similar from year to year and are an example of what you can expect in the next year although dates will change. 

  • 2020-2021

In the Israeli system, students are expected to complete papers and assignments during the inter-semester periods; as such, please DO NOT make extensive travel plans until you have a firm understanding of the exam schedule and how much studying (including group work) you will need to do between semesters. 

 

Please note that exams and final assignments are assigned during the inter-semester exam periods and after the graduation ceremony.

 

Orientation: October 12 - 16, 2020

 

Beginning of academic year; first day of the fall semester: October 19, 2020

 

Christmas break: December 24-25, 2020

 

Last day of the fall semester classes: January 14, 2021

 

Inter-semester exam period/paper writing: January 15 -  February 16, 2021

 

Mediation Workshop (mandatory): February 17 - February 25 2021 (tentative dates)

 

Purim holiday (campus closed): February 26, 2021

 

First day of spring semester: March 4, 2021

 

Passover Holiday Break (campus closed): March 26 - April 3, 2021

 

Memorial and Independence Days (campus closed): April 14-15, 2021

 

Shavuot Holiday (campus closed): May 16-17, 2021

 

Students' Day (no classes after 12:00): TBA

 

Last day of spring semester: June 17, 2021

 

Inter-semester exam period/paper writing: June 18 - July 18, 2021

 

Spring assignment due: July 18, 2021

 

Tisha B'av Fast Day (campus closed): July 18, 2021

 

First day of summer semester: July 19, 2021

Last day of summer classes: August 19, 2021

 

End of Year Ceremony: TBA

 

Summer vacation (university closed): August 20 - 28, 2021

 

Final program cumulative assignment due: September 30, 2021
