Dr. Yoav Fromer is the director of the newly-founded Center for the Study of the United States at Tel Aviv University and a fellow in the School of Government. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Fromer's research explores the relationship between politics and culture and focuses primarily on Modern American Liberalism, Conservatism, and Foreign Policy.
Mr. Or Asher is the Center's digital coordinator and project manager. He holds a BA in History & Political Science (with Honors) from Tel Aviv University and is currently pursuing his MA in History while focusing on sexual violence during the American Civil War. His research interests include U.S. Social History (primarily 19th century), The American Civil War, Slavery and Sexual and Racial violence.
Ms. Margarita Belova is the Center's digital editor and event coordinator. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Tel Aviv University, majoring in Literature and Digital Studies, and is currently writing her MA thesis at the Department of English and American Studies. Margarita's research intersts lie primarily in the area of generic intersection between early modern essay writings and early American autobiographies. Other interests include: early American Modernism, literary criticism and psychoanalytic theory.
