Prof. Sigal Alon is a senior facultry member in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel-Aviv University. She was a visiting fellow at the Russell Sage Foundation, Princeton University, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her main research interests include social stratification and mobility, with an emphasis on the sociology of education.
Prof. Milette Shamir is a Vice Dean of Humanities and an Associate Professor at the Department of English and American Studies. She is also a part of Center's executive board. Prof. Shamir's research focuses on U.S. literature and culture in the 19th century. Prof. Shamir is a head and a co-founder of the American Studies Track. In addition, Prof. Shamir is a founder of an International B.A. program in Liberal Arts, where she served as the academic head until 2016.
Dr. Udi Sommer is a Senior Lecturer at the Political Science Department of Tel Aviv University and a member of the Executive Council of the Israeli Young National Academy. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center and since 2016 he has been at Columbia University of New York as Israel Institute Visiting Professor, where he co-chairs the Israeli Cyber Forum.
Dr. Yael Sternhell is a Senior Lecturer at the Departments of History and English and American Studies. Her two primary fields of interest are the American South and the social and cultural history of modern societies at war. Dr. Sternhell teaches a variety of courses, from introductory surveys of United States history to methodological courses for graduate students in American and modern European history.
Prof. Michael Zakim is a Distinguished Lecturer in the Department of History and Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University. His research interests include American political economy and capitalism, political theory, material culture and more.
